South Harefield is the lower part of the Harefield area in the London Borough of Hillingdon, sitting closer to the floor of the Colne Valley where the Grand Union Canal, the River Colne and several former gravel pit lakes create a landscape rich in water and wildlife. Harefield Hospital, one of the world's leading heart and lung centres, sits nearby.
