Food Manufacturing Pest Control Ashtead

Workers with machines in a food manufacturing plant.

At PestControl.co.uk we understand the specific requirements of the food manufacturing industry in regards to pest control, and are therefore able to provide the best possible service. The pest control systems we put in place will keep you in compliance with legislation, and put you at very low risk for a pest infestation.

Pest Control for Food Manufacturing

We understand that there will be a number of stages of food manufacturing which require attention from pest control experts. That is not to say that we believe in a 'one size fits all' approach however, we also realise the importance of listening to our clients and approaching each site with fresh eyes.

We will create reports for each aspect of your production chain, from the receipt of goods to your final delivery of the product.

One of our field biologists will first inspect your property and produce a report on any issues found. The sorts of things they will be looking for include:

  • Signs of a current infestation. There are many indications of a pest infestation, beyond seeing a live pest. For instance chewed cardboard boxes and droppings on the floor suggest a rodent infestation.
  • Conditions which may lead to an infestation. It is important to keep all areas of your facility clean and hygienic of course, to ensure pests will not be attracted to sources of food. Water sources, from a leaking pipe for example, will also be taken note of as most pests also require water.
  • Access points. A small crack in an exterior wall could allow access to insects or even rodents. These can be filled in with special pastes or a version of steel wool. Screens and pest-proof curtains are also important for interior doors. Ventilation points should also be screened to prevent pests access.

Once the field biologist has completed their report they will be able to highlight any possible problems and suggest appropriate solutions. Once you are satisfied with the work that needs to be done, one of our pest control technicians will carry it out for you.

Following our initial work, we can also make regular visits to ensure that the pest prevention techniques are still working effectively and that you are free of pests. These will be especially valuable before a health inspection, as you can then be confident that you are in compliance with the law.

Combating a Pest Infestation
